Silverado Press Launches ‘Western Stories By Today’s Top Writers’ Prose Anthology On Kickstarter

Crazy 8 Press has announced that its Western/historical fiction imprint Silverado Press has launched Silverado Press Presents: Western Stories by Today’s Top Writers, an anthology of brand-new Western short stories on Kickstarter.
The anthology combines established legends of Western fiction with fresh new voices. Edited by Silverado Press co-founder Jeffrey J. Mariotte, the book will include contributions from well-known names in Western fiction, including Mariotte himself, James Reasoner and L. J. Washburn, Richard Prosch, Sharon Frame Gay, Nik James, Vonn McKee, and Cheryl Pierson.
Joining these established Western writers are experienced authors newer to the Western genre, including Mary Fan, Kelli Fitzpatrick, Del Howison, Paul Kupperberg, Lisa Majewski, Gord Rollo, and Aaron Rosenberg. As stretch goals, writers Larry Sweazy, Rod Miller, and Johnny D. Boggs are on deck to provide bonus stories.
The Kickstarter launched yesterday and is slated to run for 30 days. Various additional rewards and add-ons will be offered along with the ebook, including dedications and Tuckerization*. If the campaign hits $6,000, the book will be printed in paperback and offered as a $15 add-on, plus postage. The book will be released in December 2024.

*Tuckerization, apparently, is having yourself or someone of your choosing written into a book. This has been one of my favorite backer rewards in comics Kickstarters for years, and I just learned the name of it today. So, there you go. There’s a thing we both know now.
