Meet The ‘Exceptional X-Men’ — The Next Generation Of Mutant Heroes

Marvel Comics’ new X-Men From The Ashes publishing line is rolling out, and one of the most interesting parts of the line is September’s Exceptional X-Men. To get fans excited, the publisher has released more about the three new mutants that Kate Pryde and Emma Frost will be mentoring.

The new series from Eve Ewing and Carmen Carnero follows a longtime X-Men tradition of longtime X-Men training the next generation. To introduce us to Axo, Bronze and Melee, Marvel has released three new images in the style of classic trading cards. It gives us the most info we’ve seen so far on Emma and Kate’s young team. 

Bronze already seems to be a fan favorite, but Axo and Melee definitely have some potential. Each of them have some interesting details, with some interesting twists on familiar power archetypes.

Will this trio prove to be the next generation of greats? We’ll see in September when Exceptional X-Men debuts from Marvel Comics.
