SDCC 2024: Beware The Darkness In BOOM! Studio’s Convention Exclusive Variants

Horror comic fans will have a little something to pique their attention when it comes to San Diego Comic-Con exclusives. Ahead of the annual major convention, BOOM! Studios has announced some special variants for their newly launching Hello Darkness series.
Releasing its first issue right before SDCC, Hello Darkness is the publisher’s new ongoing anthology series featuring a wide bevy of creators versed in modern horror, fantasy, mystery, and all-around dark stories. Those creators include R.L. Stine, Francesco Francavilla, Garth Ennis, Becky Cloonan, James Tynion IV, Ryan Sook, Cullen Bunn, Jude Ellison S. Doyle, Steve Orlando, and so many more.
Thursday, the first day of the convention, will feature a Hello Darkness #1 spot foil variant cover from Jae Lee. Only available on Thursday, the cover is limited to 200 copies and is going for $30.
Closing out the con weekend, the publisher will also feature a glow-in-the-dark Hello Darkness #1 cover from fan favorite artist Peach Momoko. Just like the other it will be limited to 200 copies running for $30.
These items will be available on the convention floor at booth #2229.
