Gearbox Software Announces ‘Borderlands 4’ Coming 2025

by Sage Ashford

Gearbox Software and 2K Games have announced Borderlands 4 in an all-new teaser trailer. The first bit of new Borderlands gaming content since 2022’s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Borderlands 4 comes just after the Borderlands movie hit theaters. Hopefully the new installment in this long-running franchise is better received than the film, which currently sits at a 10% on Rotten Tomatoes.

For now, there’s not much information available, other than some tiny blurbs from 2K:

“In this next installment of the definitive looter shooter, players will assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they blast their way through hordes of enemies in search of new treasures to loot on an all-new planet.”

Borderlands 4 is due out 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
