‘The Garfield Movie’ Brings Home Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, And Lasagna On Blu-ray And DVD

Garfield’s back! Hide the lasagna!
Wait, are we still allowed to make lasagna and/or Monday jokes whenever they announce a new Garfield thing?
Either way, this year’s fully animated theatrical hit, The Garfield Movie, is set to arrive on Blu-ray and DVD later this month.
After starring in The LEGO Movie and The Super Mario Bros., the voice of Chris Pratt returns here as the titular orange feline, previously interpreted by Lorenzo Music in the 1980s animated series, and Bill Murray in 2004’s Garfield: The Movie and its 2006 sequel. This time around, the world’s laziest indoor cat and his canine housemate Odie find themselves on an adventure in the outside world, where Garfield is reunited with his long-lost father, a streetwise cat named Vic (Pratt’s MCU buddy Samuel L. Jackson).
Directed by Mark Dindal (Chicken Little), The Garfield Movie also features familiar voices from TV and beyond, including Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and the ubiquitous Snoop Dogg.
Special features include a gag reel, Easter eggs, a deleted scene featuring Waddingham, several featurettes, instructions on how to draw Garfield and his pals, and more.
The Garfield Movie will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on Aug. 27th.
