The Sixth And Final Season Of Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ Arrives On Blu-ray In September

Netflix is giving their hit streaming series The Crown a royal sendoff with the upcoming release of its sixth and final season on Blu-ray and DVD. The complete series will also be available on Blu-ray.
Created by Peter Morgan, the Emmy magnet (it’s pulled in 21 of the awards so far) depicts multiple generations of the British royal family in the 20th century. In the final season, Queen Elizabeth II (Imelda Staunton) reflects on the future of the family as Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) and Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla) begin an affair that ends in tragedy. Prince William (Ed McVey), Prince Charles (Dominic West), and his second wife Camilla (Olivia Williams) deal with the fallout of Diana’s death. Jonathan Pryce also appears as Prince Philip, while Lesley Manville plays Princess Margaret.
Season 6 special features will include three behind-the-scenes featurettes exploring the series’ production, historical accuracy, and legacy. The complete series boxset contains all six seasons, over 100 minutes of special features, and a collectible photo book with an introduction by Morgan.
The Crown Season 6 will be available on Blu-ray and DVD September 17th, with the complete series collector’s box set following on Blu-ray only October 15th.
