The Pokémon Center Drops Delightful Bookends Featuring Fan Favorite Pokémon!
by Anton Kromoff
Welcome to the table,
Got to catch them all! Then put them on a shelf so you can look at them! Then think about how cool it will be when you have time to catch them all again! Then do it all over again! I love Pokémon. There is something so cathartic about just wandering around in the tall grass avoiding kids in short pants and filling up my Pokédex. The intersection of collectability and monsters has always been a thing that has made me smile. As a book lover, these new offerings from the Pokémon Center have me delighted!
This set of Pokémon Center original bookends features Magikarp on the left along with Gyarados’s tail, with the rest of Gyarados on the right making one heck of a cool shelf scene that will hold your books, comics, movies, or games. The energy with these two bookends together really showcases the small quietness of Magikarp and then the whirlpooling wonder of Gyarados in a really cool way. You can grab this at the link.
Second up on the stack is this set of bookends featuring a couple of Pokémon who are very near and dear to me. Flygon was the first shiny Pokémon I ever caught in a game. I was so young when it happened and was so far removed from the internet that I had no idea it was even a shiny, until years down the road when I picked up my old game to play and realized it was a variant of the original colors presented in the game. The other part of this pair is Dragonite, one of my long-time favorites and an iconic final evolution of the Dratini line. You can grab this epic pair at this link.
If you are looking to be the very best, and these two brand new bookends are not scratching that itch for you and providing a perfect Pokémon storage solution, then check out this last offering containing the three Kanto starters in a stunning silver form. Each one of these is sold separately but I love that you can grab one, two, or all three and make them work on your shelf showcasing your love of being “The Very Best!”
You can score all three of these at this link.
Until next time, when they said catch them all, I took them seriously. I want to sit upon a throne of Pokéballs like it was some red and white Iron Throne… when they say “Very Best” it’s not a song lyric, it’s a lifestyle. Go forth, and try and catch them all before I do!
