Mad Cave Studios Donates To Binc Foundation For Hurricane Relief

With Hurricane Helene barely in the rear-view and Hurricane Milton about to hit Florida, we’re all looking for ways to help. Mad Cave Studios is already in action with one of the largest charities in the creative spaces.
The Miami based publisher known for its storytelling and sense of community announced Friday that it’s donating $10,000 to the the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (commonly known as Binc) to help with relief following Hurricane Helene. It’s coming none too soon as well, with Milton following Helene so quickly, while relief efforts are still ongoing from the first storm.
The Book Industry Charitable (BINC) Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to aiding booksellers, comic retailers, and store employees who are facing financial hardships. Since its birth in 1996, Binc has been a lifeline to these independent bookstores and comic shops, providing financial support for various crises, including natural disasters, medical emergencies, and more. To date, Binc has supported over 10,000 families with more than $11 million in aid.
As Hurricane Helene ripped through Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and beyond, countless independent bookstores and local comic shops have been left damaged, without power, or facing other critical challenges. Cities and communities like St. Petersburg, Asheville, and Black Mountain have seen their beloved shops close due to water damage and power outages, while others are fighting to recover amid widespread destruction and flooding.
“These businesses are at the heart of their communities, and many are struggling to recover from this disaster,” said Mark London of Mad Cave Studios. “We are honored to stand with Binc and offer our support to help them through this difficult time. We encourage others to contribute what they can to help rebuild and support these vital shops that bring stories to life.”
