Witness Flying Lotus’s New Cosmic Horror Film ‘Ash’

Ash is the second horror film by psychedelic musician Flying Lotus and features an original score composed by the artist. Flying Lotus first came onto my radar with his superb work on the Yasuke anime. Flying Lotus also collaborated with Underground Japanese artist, Shintaro Kago for the cover on his album titled You’re Dead! All this is to say that Flying Lotus has good taste and a cutting-edge sensibility. Ash also features martial arts star Iko Uwais (The Raid), so this film should definitely be on your radar.

“On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (Eiza González) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Aaron Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive.”
