You Smurf, I Smurf, We All Smurf For ‘The Smurfs: Roleplaying Game’ Kickstarter

I remember watching a ton of Smurf cartoons as a kid. From tens, if not hundreds, of hours of observing, these tiny blue entities who dwell in little mushroom homes the only things I can really conjure up about them was that they worked really well together.
Papa Smurf was a wizard of some kind, Brainy Smurf was a contrarian, and Gargamel was an evil alchemist with an orange cat named Azrael. I can’t conjure the individual stories up in my head, but the vibes were always positive, and that theme song, at least the la la la bit was an absolute earworm.
So I was kind of delighted to find out that Maestro Media was dropping a TTRPG where you could go on your own “Smurftastic” adventure. The Smurfs: Roleplaying Game Kickstarter (KS) is set to launch today.
A cool thing about this KS is that anyone who backs the game within the first 24 hours will receive a complimentary copy of The Smurfs: Hidden Village. Maestro Media has previously raised 15 million dollars on Kickstarter and secured the 7th most successful tabletop game campaign in Kickstarter history to date.
The starter level of this KS kicks off at $59 and includes The Smurfs: Roleplaying Game Starter Box, core rulebook digital PDF, and all digital rewards and stretch goals that may unlocked during the campaign.
In the Smurf TTRPG, you take on the role of a Smurf and go on adventures, solve mysteries, and help those in need using your very smurfy skills. The game allows for you to play one of the established Smurfs from the cartoon and comics, or you can make your own unique Smurf and head out to be the best Smurf you can be.
