The Game Awards 2024 Nominees Announced; ‘Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree’ Qualifies For GOTY

The nominees for The Game Awards 2024 have been announced via a livestream by host Geoff Keighley at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday. As ever, the big focus is Game of the Year, which has become an even bigger discussion since they updated their FAQ a few days ago to confirm that DLC and expansions were eligible for Game of the Year. With that, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Game of the Year nominees include Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the follow-up to 2022’s GOTY, Elden Ring.
There are 29 awards in total, and voting is open now for people who want to cast their vote. Of course fan vote only counts for 10% of the full vote, but that’s still important for those all-important ties. There’s roughly a month left to go before The Game Awards airs on December 12th.
