Solomon Kane Returns To Comics In ‘Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring’ From Titan Comics

by Olly MacNamee

Robert E Howard’s lesser-known cult hero, Solomon Kane returns to comics courtesy of Titan Comics in a new series Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring. Written and illustrated by Patrick Zircher, the first issue comes with a cover by Mike Mignola.

Solomon Kane was created by Howard for Weird Tales in 1928, with Kane being a 16th/17th century Puritan who seeks out evil to vanquish wherever he can find it. A wandering, devoutly faithful adventurer, Kane dresses the part of the Puritan, but with guns. But only a few tales were ever written by Howard, and I suspect his dour, Puritanical character and black and white view of the world wasn’t much of a selling point. Still, he does endure, as this new series proves. He’s certainly an interesting character, so I look forward to Zircher’s take on him.

Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring #1 is out March 2025. from Titan Comics in partnership with Heroic Signatures
