Mickey & Friends Go Cosmic In New Fantastic Four Mash-Up Covers

This year is huge for Marvel’s first family, with the franchise coming home with their first Marvel Cinematic Universe film. All throughout the year, Marvel and Disney will continue their homage mash-up cover series and celebrate the Fantastic Four.

After last month’s What If…? Mickey & Friends Became The Fantastic Four, Marvel will continue to give us a glimpse of Mickey and Friends as Marvel’s first family. Starting with last week’s Fantastic Four #28 and running all year, these covers build on a Duckburg-set version of the Fantastic Four and give us a glimpse of what might be.

One of my favorite details here is the introduction of Daisy Duck as this timeline’s She-Hulk! The 2017 version of DuckTales showed that she could be as hot-tempered as her longtime beau Donald (which is why I’m still confused by Goofy and not Donald was Human Torch in the special, but these covers fix). Making her She-Hulk is a fun touch, and it’s a cool design- not just throwing a favorite character in the familiar unstable molecule jumpsuit.
