Dynamite Plans ‘Stitch: Ohana Means Family — Musings On Everyday Life’ US Release

Stitch is getting another change to take over the world.
In conjunction with the release of the live action Lilo & Stitch movie this summer, Dynamite announced Tuesday the May launch of Stitch: Ohana Means Family — Musings on Everyday Life by Denise Shimabukuro. Taking its cues from life in Hawaiʻi, the book shapes the author’s experiences and observations into “a uniquely original book featuring the cast of the beloved Disney classic film.” Via a series of short tales mixing comics and illustrated prose, the aim is to “let the simple things that truly matter be the bond that unites us all.”
“This book is inspired by memories of my childhood, as well as the stories exchanged within my ʻohana,” Shimabukuro said in a statement. “Through these treasured moments, I hope to share a better understanding of this special concept with others around the world.”
Originally published in the UK, Dynamite takes over publishing duties in North America. According to the company, the finished book will be around 7 by 9.75 inches and sport 64 pages of Shimabukuro unique approach to Stitch, Lilo, and their world. Take a look at some of those pages below:
