Exclusive: Meet The Cast Of ComiXology’s New Alien Survivor Sci-Fi Series ‘Alienated’

Debuting this Wednesday, April 8th on ComiXology, Alienated is by writer/colorist Taki Soma and artist John Broglia with covers by Michael Avon Oeming. It tells the story of a lone surviving alien (no, not Superman) and the help he gets from a disconnected family:

 

Alien arrival shakes the world, and they’re all deceased. Except for one, aptly named Alien. A disconnected family of a Grandfather TJ, and his grandkids Lily and Winter assemble to shield it from the curious world, looking for answers. Will they succeed in keeping Alien safe?

And we get to introduce those characters a day ahead of release:

Rose
With an injury to her hip, Rose finds herself trapped in the care of a nursing home even though beyond her wound, she is a capable elder. But this is where she meets TJ during his volunteer visits to her home, and there is a heart pounding connection that’s hard to deny!

TJ
TJ is also known as Gramps by his grandkids, Lily and Winter. They have a typical relationship where they only see each other on holidays and such… until a global event brings them closer than ever! TJ is a kindhearted retired teacher, always looking to further learning for himself and others while keeping himself busy by volunteering. It is obvious though, that he does it all because he is lonely. 

Kaiden
A friend to Lily, Kaiden showcases somewhat of a vapid nature. Why does Winter crush on him? Because he is more than meets the eye.

 

Winter
Younger sibling to Lily who is also in highschool, Winter is less interested in academics. However, what Winter lacks in his interest in learning is his deep yearning for approval from Lily and has an eye for her friend, Kaiden. Except he is profoundly shy. 

 

 

Lily
An academic overachiever, Lily is about to graduate highschool and is accepted into UofM in Minnesota. She is not unkind, but is apathetic as her only focus until now has been on her scholarly pursuits. Will she explore beyond herself as Aliens make their arrival?

 

Alien
Aptly named Alien, it is a single living alien out of thousands who arrived out of thin air into our world. It is smart and forms a quick friendship with TJ, Lily and Winter. A friendship that forms into a found-family, in fact. But why is it here? How did it survive?
