‘Vampirella Archives’ Vol. 3 Set For August

The Vampirella Archives continues its rampage.

Dynamite announced on Thursday the plan for the third paperback volume collecting Vampi’s original Warren Publishing comic book run. The next edition reprints 1972’s Vampirella #15-21. Each solo story featuring the Daughter of Drakulon sports art from Jose Gonzalez as Archie Goodwin continues to define and expand the mythology as the strip’s writer. Dracula, for example, debuts in these chapters while issue #19’s editorial feature reveals how Vampi was created.

Another strip starred a character called T. Casey Brennan, whose final adventure in issue #21 is co-written by Steve Englehart. The collected issues also boast “almost all” of Esteban Maroto‘s Tomb of the Gods. Other creators who contribute to this run of the series include Doug Moench, Jose Bea, Don McGregor, Richard Corben, Pat Boyette, Luis Garcia, Jan Strnad, Steve Skeates, and Greg Potter. Covers for Vol. 3 are provided by covers by Sanjulian, Enrich Torres, and Luis Dominguez.

Vampirella Archives Vol. 3 is set for release in August with subsequent volumes set for release every two months.
