‘Magic: The Gathering’ Announces Partnership With The National Association Of Latino Arts And Cultures

As someone who loves collecting, I was delighted when Secret Lair started getting more attention. As a company, they have been champions of blending various fandoms with Magic: The Gathering in ways that feel both artistic, timely, and, frankly, are just cool to look at.
Recently Wizards of the Coast and Magic: The Gathering have announced their partnership with the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures to release a brand-new Secret Lair drop entitled Nuestra Magia, available for purchase for a limited time at this link.
The M:TG team worked with multiple Latiné artists to create illustrations for cards that were inspired by the many cultures of Latin America. In the spirit of authenticity and creative immersion, the special drop includes alternate names in Spanish and Portuguese on select cards, such as “La abundancia de Yúcahu,” better known as Sylvan Library — a fact I find so freaking cool.
With Senior Art Director Ovidio Cartagena, who has worked on Magic sets like Phyrexia: All Will Be One, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, and Duskmourn: House of Horror, the Nuestra Magia cards stand a good chance of getting fans inspired and excited to learn about Latinoamérica’s cultures and people.
The Nuestra Magia drop will be available at MagicSecretLair.com from now until July 13th. It will be printed to demand and will have two versions — one printed with Spanish and Portuguese rules text and the other with English rules. Both will be available in non-foil and rainbow foil. Fifty percent (50%) of the product price will be donated to NALAC.
