WizKids Awarded ‘Best Miniature Core Project’ At Origins Game Fair 2025

Welcome to the table,

This past weekend marked Origins Game Fair 2025. The annual tabletop gaming convention is hosted by The Game Manufacturers Association and held in Columbus, OH. Origins is a great show with thousands of gaming events scheduled across the weekend, a slew of vendors, events, and more. In the landscape of the tabletop gaming hobby Origins is one of the most well-known shows.

Among all the cool things happening at the show, Origins presents the Origins Game Awards. These awards reward excellence in game design and nominees are determined by a jury with winners determined by Academy vote.

I tell you all of that so I can remind you that back in January, I was able to tell give you a preview of WizKids Star Trek: Into the Unknown tactical miniatures game. I thought it was fun and fresh addition to the hobby landscape and was a perfect collectible for both gamers and those who like to put cool tiny ships on their shelves.

I am doubly delighted to share with you that WizKids won Best Miniature Core Project at Origins this year!
