by Richard Bruton

After many, many, too many years away, 2024 saw the return of the 2000 AD Annual, plus a Treasury of British Comics Annual, celebrating brilliant Brit comics of the past. And now, we have the announcement of the 2026 annuals, coming your way November 2025…

200 AD Annual 2026 – covers by Ladronn and Simon Bisley

Treasury of British Comics – covers by Staz Johnson and James Harren

Yes, they’ve done the Treasury Annual for the past couple of years, joined last year by the return of the classic 2000 AD Annual. And now, it’s all happening again for both the 2000 AD Annual 2026 and The Treasury of British Comics Annuals 2026. Classic hardback album editions that will make any fan so happy come Christmas morning. And before anyone gets all confused, British annuals traditionally get released towards the end of the year but are named for the next year. That means that both the 2000 AD and Treasury Annuals will be out in November 2025 but are called the 2026 Annuals. Easy, huh?

The 2000 AD Annual comes with covers from Ladronn (the standard version) and Simon Bisley (webshop exclusive version), with new adventures for Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, and Judge Anderson, done by creators including Rob Williams, Joe Currie, TC Eglington, and Staz Johnson. The new strips sit alongside some very special reprints from the archives.

The Treasury of British Comics Annual continues its fine run of reprinting some hard to find, never before reprinted one-off tales from the rich history of the British comics archive at Rebellion, under covers from Staz Johnson and James Harren. Plus, four all-new tale specially for this Annual. These are Helmet Head by Stephen Brotherstone & David Lawrence (creators of the excellent Scarred For Life Podcast) and Henrik Sahlstrom, Vanessa From Venus Vs Spellbinder by David Roach, and Mytek The Mighty by Suyi Davies Okungbowa and Edison Neo. And then there’s the rather intriguing and very silly, Imagine If Gums Was Published in Action by Ned Hartley and Steve White.

Both the 2000 AD Annual and the Treasury of British Comics Annual are published in November 2025.

Right then, here’s a few images from the 2000 AD Annual..
