SDCC 2025: Shudder Delivers Scares And Thrills With ‘Clown In A Cornfield’ Activation

Clown in a Cornfield is a slasher film where a clown terrorizes a small Missouri town leading up to an especially bloody night during its Founder’s Day Parade. To celebrate the movie’s arrival to Shudder and AMC+ on August 8th, the two streaming platforms hosted an activation at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) bringing attendees to Kettle Springs during the festival.
The immersive part of the experience is very fun and entertaining. You along with a small party must stick together and find your way through a corn maze. It is very creepy with how dark it is and the random noises and people heard throughout not to mention the homicidal clowns along the way. The character actors do a good job immersing you into the story like a real horror film.
After all the scares, if you survive, relax at the Founder’s Day Parade. Take part in carnival games such as a test of strength and ring toss to earn tickets for a cool drink and a takeaway snack. There is also a photo op with Frendo the Clown himself. It’s nice spot to catch your breath after all that excitement.
Don’t forget about the SWAG. In addition to the take home candy and reusable cup the drink came in, there is a jumbo backpack, a Shudder print, and some popcorn to snack on.
The Clown in a Cornfield activation runs from July 24th-26th from 2:00 pm – 7:30 pm daily during SDCC 2025. It can be found at the Hilton Gaslamp front entrance grass lawn (401 K Street, San Diego, CA 92101).
