Ultimate Endgame, Absolute Green Arrow And All The Comics News From SDCC ’25

San Diego Comic-Con wrapped this past weekend following the usual flurry of announcements big and small. Whether you’re at the con or watching from afar, it can be a lot to take in — so I’ve combed the wires for the most notable comics-related announcements.
By no means an exhaustive list, this should nevertheless keep you in the loop on the main happenings.
- A new Batman miniseries called Knightfight will launch this November from the team of Joshua Williamson and Dan Mora, and it will tie-in to the forthcoming DC K.O. event
- Absolute Green Arrow from Pornsak Pichetoshote and drawn by Rafael Albuquerque is coming in 2026.
- Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 will feature two more backup stories: “Rocket Raccoon/Green Lantern” written by Al Ewing and drawn by Dike Ruan, and “Wolverine (Old Man Logan)/Batman (The Dark Knight Returns)” written and drawn by Frank Miller.
- Two Captain America miniseries are coming: Alien Vs. Captain America #1 written by Frank Tieri and drawn by Stefano Raffaele, as well as 1776, written by J. Michael Straczynski with art by Ron Lim and Sean Damien Hill in which Cap travels back in time to the founding of America.
- Ultimate Endgame #1, debuting in December, kicks off a five-issue limited series by Deniz Camp, Jonas Scharf, and more, featuring the return of the Maker. The final issue of the current run of Ultimate Spider-Man will also be published in December.
- Marvel’s X-Men panel revealed covers and solicit information for the second issues of the Age of Revelation series, coming in November after the launch of the event in October.
- Abrams ComicArts will release John Byrne’s three-volume X-Men Elsewhen series in 2026, collecting the stories which Byrne originally published on his website.
- Dark Horse will release deluxe edition of fan-favorite manga Oldboy.
- Robert Kirkman announced the return of the long-out-of-print series Capes, from Skybound/Image Comics.
- G.I. Joe #12 will feature the first appearance of Shooter, Night Force’s newest recruit, followed by the start of the “Dreadnok War”, featuring the return of Tom Reilly, who is now exclusive to Skybound Entertainment. The series will publish bi-weekly for the duration of the event.
- Meanwhile, the “Quintesson War” will kickoff in Void Rivals #25.
- IDW is launching a Godzilla/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles miniseries in November, written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Fero Pe.
