First Look: ‘Witchblade’ #14 And The Return Of The Darkness?
by Olly MacNamee
Marguerite Bennett and Giuseppe Cafaro’s Witchblade (2024) #14 is promising major revelations, and a new costume debut. But it’s also teasing the return of The Darkness. And here’s why:
“Following the events of Witchblade (2024) #13, New York City Police Detective Sara Pezzini returns to work while her partner clings to life, still reeling from the world-shattering events of last issue and coming to grips with the new nature of the Witchblade. In the City, a deadly serial killer is targeting the homeless, but the crime scenes reveal clues only Sara and the Witchblade can follow. How is a teenage conspiracy theorist involved in all of this, and will Sara be able to stop the killer before they strike again?”
The return of Witchblade last year garnered orders totaling nearly 100K, making it the highest Top Cow launch in over a decade. Clearly a hit with fans with the new creative team working closely with Top Cow CEO, Image Comics co-founder, and original Witchblade co-creator, Marc Silvestri, to ensure they get it right. Including a reimagined origin, with modern takes on familiar characters from over thirty years ago. And judging by those orders, they have. Here’s a fisrt look at the forthcoming issue:
