The Whitest Kids U Know’s ‘Mars’ Gets A 2026 Home Video Release

Mars is just a little bit closer.
Whole Grain Pictures recently announced their plans to release the animated film from The Whitest Kids U Know — the comedy troupe consisting of Trevor Moore, Zach Cregger, Sam Brown, Timmy Williams, and Darren Trumeter — on home video in 2026.
Directed by Sevan Najarian, the film centers on Kyle, a man in his 30s unsatisfied with the life laid out before him. To escape, he “enters a contest hosted by eccentric billionaire Elron Branson to be one of four ‘average people’ to visit Mars.” Winning, he leaves his fiancée (and sexually confused friend Cooter) at the altar to have an adventure. Of course, he and the three other winners are not prepared for what happens next.
Following a successful crowfunding campaign to raise $300,000, the film has been in development for some time. In fact, Moore passed during the process, but it made the other members of the troupe committed to completing the film. Moore even recorded his lines before his untimely death in 2021. A theatrical debut occurred at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.
“I was lucky enough to have seen Whitest Kids U Know since their very inception, when we were all friends in art school in New York City,” Whole Grain Pictures and MediaOCD CEO Justin Sevakis said in a statement. “Their incredible writing, sharp timing, and hilariously dark wit made it obvious from the beginning that they would be huge, but seeing their legacy endure over 20 years later, even though unimaginable tragedy, is beyond what I ever could have hoped for them. Giving their final project the care and time it deserves is one of the most important things I will ever do.”
The Whitest Kids U Know: Mars arrives on Blu-ray in 2026 with theatrical and streaming releases also planned.
