Adult Animation Revolution: Dana Terrace Teases ‘Knights Of Guinevere’

Glitch Productions chats with showrunner Dana Terrace about her upcoming indie animated series, Knights of Guinevere. The program is described as “a psychological thriller set in the far future that welcomes you to a planet-wide amusement park in the clouds … And the shadows beneath it, where a broken Princess Android might be two dreamers’ tickets to better lives, or the end of them.”
The conversation in the video above is quite funny and casual without going into spoilers. Fans have speculated that Terrace’s inspiration for Knights of Guinevere arose from her frustrations while working within the limitations of the Disney Channel.
With The Owl House, Terrace pushed for greater LGBTQ representation, deep world-building, and for exploring horrific subject matter. All of these elements were censored within the perimeters of Disney’s brand identity (and political investments). Fortunately, by going indie, Terrace is now able to express her vision with full creative freedom.
