Highlights From The PC Game Show

The PC Gaming Show has joined the Future Games Show as one of the bigger places to check out new titles that might not have the biggest marketing budget. Just ahead of The Game Awards, they premiered their “Most Wanted” show, merging both new game premieres with hype segments for the twenty games they’re most excited about.
While the show clocked in at nearly three hours, we’ve selected some highlights from a number of the most fun games revealed there.
First comes Chaos Manufacturing’s SOL Shogunate, a “samurai space opera” planning for release in 2027. In the far future, humanity has traversed the solar system, but fallen under the control of a harsh Shogunate. As the outlaw ronin Yuzuki, players will aim to get their revenge for their destroyed clan.
The awesome rock soundtrack is more than a stylistic choice for the trailer. Even the Steam page brings up how the music is meant to evolve as battles grow more intense, with plenty of songs hand-crafted for SOL Shogunate, including one from J-Rock band AliA.
Ever wanted to pilot a giant robot as an adorable animal? That’s where developer Uncommon Games comes in with their new title, Animalkind. Players can become a corgi, a tabby cat, or a raccoon that builds their own mecha, then creates a new village for his animal friends to live in.
Offering both a solo and co-op adventure, along with plenty of customization and exploration, this cozy game looks like a potential blast. Fortunately, along with a new trailer, they also confirmed a demo is available on Steam.
From Kakehashi Games and abnermtj comes Epoch Reset, a narrative 2.5D anime adventure game about Hector, a time-traveler trying to break a time loop. Basically Steins;Gate with more cyberpunk vibes, the game’s Steam overview page promises a variety of minigames as the player tries to break the loop while protecting all of Hector’s friends.
After releasing one of the best games of the year with the puzzle title Blue Prince, Exnilo Studio returns with another puzzle adventure game: Rivage. Instead of investigating a mysterious old house, the game takes players out into space in the 25th century. As Miranda, the goal is to survive being trapped within a space station and discover what happened to its missing crew.
Developer Liquid Swords is a new studio from a bunch of veteran developers, and they premiered their first game during the PC Gaming Show. Samson: A Tyndalston Story is an open-world action game in which players take on the role of Samson McCray, a man deeply in debt trying to do anything to pay it off and save his family.
The unique idea here is Samson can only take so many jobs in a day to pay off his debt while it continues to grow with interest. It’s certainly different, but what’s most surprising: the game is due out in early 2026 … and that it’s only priced at $24.99. That places it among a handful of increasingly popular AA titles that are bucking the expectation of charging $60-70 for a game.
