by Olly MacNamee

After more than four decades of Heroes-in-a-Half-Shell action, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #300 is almost upon us. And IDW have big plans for this momentous milestone.

To mark the publication of this 300th issue, IDW will be offering fans blind bag copies with covers by artist J. Scott Campbell, and a never-before-seen cover from co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, as well as more to be announced. This issue will be written by Gene Luen Yang and artist Freddie E. Williams II.
“Splinter has returned from the dead, but at what cost? This action-packed and emotional tale will have a massive impact on the future of IDW’s TMNT Universe and is a can’t-miss chapter for fans that will leave them feeling shell-shocked.”

Plus, this special commemorative issue will feature a back-up story from co-creator Eastman and writer Tom Waltz, along with a roster of classic TMNT artists celebrating forty years of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Plus, coming to comic book stores this July is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin — Training Day one-shot that “will see the return of Michelangelo as the Last Ronin as he prepares Casey Marie Jones, the daughter of April O’Neil and Casey Jones, to continue the epic battle against the Foot Clan and, one day, lead the next generation of Ninja Turtles.”
