Ikatan Darah is a new film from Uwais Pictures, a production company developed by The Raid star Iko Uwais. The goal: to deliver world class Indonesian action films with martial arts choreography and powerful storytelling. For fans of this grittier New Wave of martial arts action, Uwais Pictures could be the architect of their next favorite film. Ikatan Darah screened at 2025’s Fantastic Fest and was well received.
Here’s the synopsis: “A former martial arts athlete (Livi Ciananta) must face a network of loan sharks to save her younger brother (Derby Romero), who is trapped in online gambling debt and risking their family’s safety.”
