Osamu Tezuka’s ‘Princess Knight’ Is Reborn As ‘The Ribbon Hero’

Osamu Tezuka is one of my favorite manga creators, and magical girls is one of my favorite anime genres. Therefore, I am thrilled to announce that Tezuka’s Princess Knight is being adapted into an original anime titled The Ribbon Hero. The story follows Sapphire, the princess of Silverland, who must travel to Goldland when her home is decimated by a calamity known as Nergal. To combat this foe, Sapphire must transform into the Ribbon Hero. The fresh character designs and new characters are welcome additions, and the film should be new-viewer-friendly even to those who are unfamiliar with the source manga.
The Ribbon Hero will be streaming on Netflix August 8th.
