Bad Idea’s ‘It Demands Sacrifice: Record Read Along’ 7″ Vinyl To Feature An All-Star Cast

by Olly MacNamee

Over the past week or so, Bad Idea has been slowly revealing one big name after another to be involved with the It Demands Sacrifice #1 read-along 7″ vinyl you will be able to get with this debut issue, if you’re lucky. Or own a comic book store. And it’s quite the cast, enviable in fact.

It Demands Sacrifice #1 is by writers Philip Gelatt and David Yarovesky and artist Adam Pollina, and the read-along record will be a limited release. In fact, unless your local comic book store isn’t big enough to order 250 copies of this debut issue, you’ll probably miss out. This one’s going to be a highly sought-after item, I think, given its novelty and the Hollywood talent involved. As for that talent, I’ve teased you enough.

So, without further ado, here is the cast, including the latest announcement of Seth Green, who’s no stranger to voice-over work through TV shows like Family Guy and Marvel’s What If…? as well as being the voice of Howard the Duck in The Guardians of the Galaxy.

Other cast members announced are:

  • Kysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Jessica Jones)
  • David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man, Late Night with The Devil)
  • Danny Elfman (composer — The Simpsons, Batman)

Plus, from the world of comics we have the following:

  • BrettBean (D’Orc)
  • Mike Carey (Lucifer),
  • Shelly Bond (Vertigo)
  • Tomás Giorello (Planet Death)
  • Jorge Fornés (Batman artist)

“It Demands Sacrifice: Record Read Along revives the classic comic book record read-alongs of the 1970s for a new generation. Each limited-edition package pairs an exclusive comic book with a 7″ vinyl record featuring a fully performed version of the story, allowing readers to listen as the characters, score and sound effects bring the comic to life on the page.”

It Demands Sacrifice #1 is out on Wednesday 14th September from Bad Idea
