Skybound Announces The First-Ever Energon Universe Manga Variant Covers

Skybound/Image Comics and partner Hasbro have announced a rather novel variant cover initiative: first-of-their-kind Energon Universe manga comic covers by manga artists Satoshi Shiki (Attack on Titan) and Manabu Yashiro (Tank Chair). These covers will be available as 1:50 incentive variants on December’s Energon Universe comic issues M.A.S.K. #7, Transformers #39, G.I. Joe #29, and Void Rivals #37.

As a long-term manga reader, I was thrilled to have Japanese legends Satoshi Shiki and Manabu Yashiro join us for some gorgeous covers!
And here’s the release dates for those of you keen to collect all four E Covers for each issue:
M.A.S.K. #7 is out on 2nd December 2nd, 2026.
Transformers #39 is out on 9th December 9th, 2026.
G.I. Joe #29 is out on 16th December 16th, 2026.
Void Rivals #37 is out on 23rd December 23rd, 2026.
