Marvel’s Stormbreakers Showcase Art Styles Through The Ages In New October Covers

More than anything else Marvel’s Stormbreakers program has done is showcase some incredible art from superstar and rising star artists. But October’s series of covers finds the program going in a little different direction.

In October, Marvel’s Stormbreakers will create eight unique covers across Marvel’s biggest titles. The new Art Style Variants collection sees Marvel’s elite artists drawing inspiration from a wide range of artistic movements, techniques, and traditions to create bold new covers that transform iconic Marvel characters into striking new works of art.

The covers and styles are: 

• Captain America #16 Art Style Variant Cover by Jonas Scharf, inspired by Mid-Century Magazine art
• Fantastic Four #18 Art Style Variant Cover by Netho Diaz, inspired by Art Deco
• Iron Man #10 Art Style Variant Cover by Luciano Vecchio, inspired by Ancient Greek Vase Painting
• Punisher #9 Art Style Variant Cover by Geoff Shaw, inspired by Expressionism
• Thor #802 Art Style Variant Cover by Alessandro Cappuccio, inspired by Crosshatching/Etching
• Wade Wilson: Deadpool #9 Art Style Variant Cover by Gurihiru, inspired by Children’s Book illustrations
• X-Men #40 Art Style Variant Cover by Simone Di Meo, inspired by Art Nouveau
• X-Men United #8 Art Style Variant Cover by Juan Frigeri, inspired by Musha-e/Kabuki-e
