Toy Robot Video’s December 4K UHD Slate Promises Burt Reynolds, Wesley Snipes, KISS, And More

Toy Robot Video, a subsidiary of Arrow Video, has unveiled some tasty 4K UHD treats for fans of action, comedy and cult movies this December. Just in time for you to add them to you holiday wish list.
First up, Burt Reynolds does double duty as star and director of the 1981 neo-noir action film Sharky’s Machine, in which an Atlanta vice cop’s investigation of a prostitution ring leads him to the mob and citywide corruption. It stars Rachel Ward, Brian Keith, and Charles Durning. This 2-disc 4K UHD and Blu-ray release features a brand new 4K scan and new extras, and will be available in the US and UK on December 7th.
Always bet on Wesley Snipes. The Blade actor stars as in the 1992 thriller Passenger 57. In one of the era’s endless riffs on the Die Hard formula, Snipes plays a security consultant with a very particular set of skills who faces off against terrorists on a commercial flight. Directed by Kevin Hooks and co-starring Tom Sizemore, Bruce Greenwood, and Elizabeth Hurley. The 4K UHD boasts a brand new restoration with special features TBA. Available in the US and UK on December 7th.
Next up is the brutal 2018 Korean thriller Unstoppable. Train to Busan star Lee Dong-seok (AKA Don Lee) plays a former gangster attempting to live a quiet life as a fishmonger on the coast. But when his wife (Song Ji-hyo) is kidnapped by a human trafficking ring, all hell breaks loose. Blu-ray available in the UK only on December 7th.
Finally, you have permission to rock and roll all night. Toy Robot brings the 1999 cult comedy Detroit Rock City to 4k UHD. Edward Furlong and Natasha Lyonne lead a crew of teenage friends who are desperately trying to get access to a KISS concert in the Motor City of the 1970s. Making its 4K debut, Detroit features new interviews with cast and crew, archival special features, and more. Available in the US and UK on December 14th.
