Image Comics Announces New Vampire Horror Series ‘Vampire On Aisle 6’ From Zoe Thorogood And Joe Whiteford

UK comic book creator and 2023 Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award winner Zoe Thorogood is teaming up with newcomer Joe Whiteford for a new three-issue vampire horror series, Vampire on Aisle 6, from Image Comics, as exclusively announced by IGN.

“In Vampire on Aisle 6, Luka claims to be a vampire. He’s trapped in a mascot-themed superstore, the sun won’t set for another ten hours, and he’s just made his first kill.

After being bitten by a mysterious man at the end of an unfortunate week, Luka begins experiencing vampiric symptoms including a newfound bloodlust, a shattered reflection, and an unwillingness to go outside. His life begins unravelling.”

Speaking of this new comic book miniseries, Thorogood said:

“Vampire on Aisle 6 is a comic + album about a self-proclaimed vampire trapped in a mascot-themed grocery store … It’s a story about traumatic change and the isolation that follows. We hope readers/listeners are ready for an unconventional vampire story and understand, that really, It’s All Just Meat.”

Whiteford added:

“Zoe took an idea I’ve had in my head for years and has created a bloody, heart felt, anti-corporate, sexy comic released along side 8 new Harley Poe songs that reveal insight to the story and its characters. It’s a lovely punk rock collaboration of music and art, and it’s definitely not your average vampire tale.”
