‘X-Men 97’ Voice Actor JP Karliak Kicks Off a New Year of The Uncanny Experience
by Austin Gorton
With the fourth year of the Uncanny Experience just barely in the rear view, Giant-Size Productions is already looking ahead to Year 5 — and announcing their first featured guest: the voice of X-Men ’97‘s Morph: JP Karliak.

The annual X-Men fan convention held in Minneapolis, Minnesota has always showcased the voice talent behind the X-Men animated series, and that continues with the announcement of the first featured guest of next year’s show. In addition to his work voicing the wisecracking shapeshifter and Wolverine BFF Morph, Karliak has lent his voice to a variety of different characters, hero and villain alike, from Marvel stalwarts Vision and the Green Goblin in Spidey And His Amazing Friends to the Joker and Wile. E. Coyote.

Karliak is also active advocate for community and representation, founding Queer Vox, a non-profit school dedicating to championing LGBTQIA+ voice talent, and is the co-founder of NerdsVote, which works to mobilize fandoms for civic engagement, including going to conventions and registering fans to vote (which makes this a good time to say, hey, make sure you vote!).
Year 5 of the Uncanny Experience is September 11th through the 12th, 2027. Karliak will be on hand for photo-ops, autographs and main-stage panel appearances. For tickets and more, check out their website.
