Kickstarting Comics: Hitler And The Hell Mouth — ‘Unit 666’ Volume 3 To The Rescue
by Olly MacNamee
With less than a week to go, I’d nearly forgotten about the campaign for Unit 666 Volume 3. Especially as it launched at Kings Heath Comic Con, a convention I organise! But you’re not too late to back this campaign if you enjoy your war comics and your horror.
Unit 666 is an Allied unit fighting during WWII, aiming to fight back against a portal to Hell itself. And it has now reached its third volume, in which the events of the previous two volumes come to a head, with Europe suffering a monstrous, evil turmoil.
Written by Noel K Hannan with art by Chris Askham and letters by Bhuna, this new black-and-white graphic novel explores the dying days of WWII and Hitler’s attempt to activate his Vunderveppen (V-Weapons) and take everyone with him. And only Unit 666 can stop him. Or can they?
Rewards range from £5 for a pdf copy to £35 for the ‘The Military Cross Reward’ that includes all three print volumes of Unit 666 with the standard Warwick Fraser-Coombe covers, as well as add-ons, including the obligatory T-shirt and more.
