James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: Fire And Ash’ Is Coming Home On 4K UHD And Digital Platforms For The Holidays
by David Lewis
After dominating the box office late last year, Avatar: Fire And Ash is riding one of those weird Pandora dinosaur-birds to your home in time for the holidays. Writer-director James Cameron‘s pricey threequel is headed to digital platforms and a 4-disc 4K Ultra HD in December.

This time, Jake (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and their family face a new enemy known as the Ash People on the lush planet of Pandora. Meanwhile, the human-fronted RDA forces are also closing in from another angle. Epic battles on land, sea and air ensue, although they may not be quite as spectacular at home as they were on the 3D big screen.
Franchise veterans Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet all make the return trip, plus newcomers Oona Chaplin and David Thewlis.
Extras include deleted and extended scenes, performance capture demos, scene deconstructions, featurettes, a tribute to late producer Jon Landau, and more. There’s also a separate family audio track, which promises to remove all “objectionable” language (we’re hoping that includes every instance of Spider saying “Bro”).
Avatar: Fire And Ash arrives on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Fandango and more, and on 4K Ultra HD on December 8th.
