Killing Has Consequences In The New God Of War Trailer

by Tito W. James

Having already murdered all of the Greek Gods, Kratos now sets his sights on Norse mythology (Thor beware).

In this reboot/sequel to the God of War games, Kratos tries to fulfill his departed wife’s last wishes and care for his son in a harsh Nordic environment.
Kratos’ character design has shifted to fit with his new surroundings–shedding his traditional chain-blades for an ice-axe and growing an Andrew MacLean-sized beard.
I played through the original game trilogy. The core gameplay mechanics are addictive, the combat is brutal, and the boss battles are epic. My biggest critique of the original games is that Kratos would just kill anything with a pulse, so he couldn’t gain a roster of supporting characters. Now the new game is injecting pathos and much needed humor into the franchise.
The game will release on April 20th, 2018 and is now available for pre-order.
