‘Trials of Mana’ Gets A New Gameplay Trailer

by Sage Ashford

Square’s got a second remake coming out around the same time as Final Fantasy VII — a new version of the legendary Seiken Densetsu 3. Or, as it will be known the United States, Trials of Mana. The original version never actually made it over to the states officially, and the remake is rebuilt from the ground up. Eschewing FF7‘s more realistic style, Trials of Mana goes for a more stylized animation that feels similar to Dragon Quest XI from two years ago. More from Square-Enix about the trailer:

The new gameplay trailer dives into some of the amazing features you will experience in Trials of Mana. Watch how you can create a varying adventure depending on the selection in your party of three, choosing from the six unique heroes. Get a glimpse into the combat system and find out how upgrading the characters’ classes transforms them into powerful new forms. See some of the new abilities in action plus discover a vast world ready to explore filled with secrets and mysteries.

Trials of Mana will be available for the PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on April 24th.
