‘The Queen’s Favorite Witch Vol. 2: The Lost King’ Now On Sale From Papercutz

by Tom Smithyman

It turns out that even England’s Queen Elizabeth I consulted with a witch to help her work through her conundrums. A follow-up to 2021’s award-winning graphic novel for young people, The Queen’s Favorite Witch Volume 2: The Lost King is now on sale.

Written by Benjamin Dickson and illustrated by Rachael Smith, The Lost King tells the story of young Daisy Sparrow, as she navigates her role as Elizabeth right-hand witch, providing spells and curses on command. With the queen’s advisers pressuring the sovereign to marry and turn over her power to a man, Daisy finds herself in a struggle to protect Elizabeth from nefarious forces.

“Now firmly established as the Royal Witch, Daisy gets to really flex her magical muscles on the job for the first time,” Dickson said. “And, perhaps inevitably, gets in way over her head. Rachael and I are enormously excited to bring you the continuing adventures of Daisy Sparrow and friends.”

The Queen’s Favorite Witch Volume 2: The Lost King is published by Mad Cave Studios’ Papercutz imprint.
