NYCC 2023: ‘The Weirdest’ Make Their Return At Super7!
by Anton Kromoff
Welcome to the table,
Superheroes can be fun, but after a while they all sort of blend together. You have your smart guy with gadgets, your strong guy with a cape, your powerful woman with a costume that was clearly designed by a guy, the fish-adjacent one, the alien from another world, the one who’s broody and mad, and so forth.
You can slap on a tragic back story or a leather jacket and get some mileage out of them but for the most part, these characters have become part of our cultural conversation and we all recognize them when we see them, be they in big budget versions or some variation being put out from one studio or another.
Super7 has thankfully arrived to break the mold of the same-old-same-old in the superhero game with a fun collection of super strange heroes that are anything but traditional. Let me introduce you to The Weirdest Wave 3 also known as “The Indigo Hell” versions of these wild wand weird heroes. ![]()
I was vaguely aware of The Weirdest before I arrived at NYCC 2023, but after getting to talk to the founder of Super7 I have such a deeper love for these odd little heroes. These guys are essentially the weird heroes no one would really go to for help. Super7 has a line of really cool-looking villain toys called The Worst but The Weirdest are those superheroes that no one really expects to amount to much and that would never be someone’s first choice as the go-to team of titans to tangle with those who terrorize.
Unless you were me… these are exactly the kind of characters I gravitate toward because they are so freaking weird.

Wave 3 starts off with Trashsquatch in a new colorway from his appearance in Wave 1. Trashsquatch’s existence is a rumor, fueled by strange stories and blurry photos that serve as the only clues to this cryptid creature’s existence. He is the bane of unlucky late-night litterbugs who have found themselves thrown away…forever. This ReAction figure is articulated and comes in at 3.75” scale. You can add the Trashsquatch ReAction figure to your collection at this link.
Next up is a new colorway of Blööd. Blööd is descended from a löng line of vampire royalty and is the first to do so in this level of style. It is said that when he was asked to join the ranks of The Weirdest his only question was if they had a dental plan.
This 3.9” Super7 ReAction Figure of Blööd has five points of articulation, and premium metallic paint detail on his snazzy gold tooth. He also comes with a bat-shaped guitar accessory and some super rad packaging, as we have all come to know and love from Super7’s figures. You can find the Wave 3 Blööd at this link.

The final offering in Wave 3 of The Weirdest is Gor-Ior. Gor-Ior is an immortal fighter who never knows when to quit. When he’s impaled, he powers through. When he has an axe in his head, he sucks it up. When he has a sword run through him, Gor-Ior just keeps going.
Coming in at 3.8”, this Super7 ReAction figure of Gor-Ior has five points of articulation and premium metallic paint detail, and comes with three weapon accessories that fit into his open wounds as well as removable limbs for ultimate dismemberment fun! You can add Gor-Ior ReAction to your collection of creeps at this link.

All of these guys are absolutely delightful and strange and if you want to score the whole set and you missed out at NYCC, you can grab them while they last at this link.
Until next time, if you need a hero and you know where to look, and all the other guys are fighting some purple dude with a glove or something, maybe you to can count on The Weirdest!
