It’s Time To Pre-Order The Adult Time Dragon From WizKids

In the landscape of TTRPG, very few things are more iconic than the dice and the dragons and WizKids have done a fantastic job of their pre-painted Dragon offerings thus far with their Chromatic and Metalic dragons making epic additions to the table, and their unsettling Deep Dragon being a truly horrifying mini to unnerve your players with, but all of these pale in comparison their upcoming offering, the mysterious and powerful Adult Time Dragon.
This miniature is nothing short of a work of art. Brilliantly sculpted with flowing whiskers, unfurling wings, a winding tail, and a crown of horns, the Time Dragon cuts a striking silhouette from all sides when it hits the gaming table.
Its golden hourglass is semitransparent and the sand within is sculpted giving an added element of depth to this mini. The dragon’s scales are also painted with a layer of iridescent pigment that gives it a mystical quality when it catches the light.
For those who have not encountered or researched time dragons before, they start manipulating the ebb and flow of time to maintain equilibrium from the moment they hatch. Their breath weapon serves as a formidable tool, forcibly disconnecting those hit from the natural flow of time, and tossing them into strange spaces between spaces setting the stage for some really memorable battles if you lay out the lead-up correctly. Their abilities are not just limited to their breath weapon either, from temporal slips to hurling creatures across the ages, their influence can distort the very essence of time, leaving players awestruck and disoriented as they scramble to figure out when they are.
I’m a fan of all of the dragon miniatures from the Icons of the Realms pre-painted line that I have seen from WizKids as they are all quality, but the Adult Time Dragon may take its place as my favorite in regards to the sculpt, paint job, and general imposing presence it commands when dropped onto the battle mat.

Until next time, the amount of Doctor Strange time slipping you can get into with a Time Dragon just trying to nudge and shift the timeline the way that they think it needs to be sculpted really makes a Time Dragon one of the coolest non-villainous plot devices you could add to your TTRPG game.
