Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the next entry in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series. Entitled “Speed vs. Power”, the trailer introduces 11 new characters: Burter and Jeice of the Ginyu Force, Dyspo and Toppo from Universe 11, Kakunsa from Universe 2, Master Roshi’s Max Power version, Nappa, Super Trunks, Super Saiyan Broly (Full Power), and Super Saiyan Kale (Berserk).

These announcements confirm the series is back to its usual strategy of deep cut characters rather than just the most popular, which is what made the franchise so beloved. There’s also a 13 minute gameplay trailer, featuring the developers speaking on some of the changes made to this latest installment.  The trailer not only shows off new systems, but also confirms that transformations are back, with Vegeta and Goku both going into Super Saiyan Blue during the match.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO has no confirmed release date, but is scheduled to launch for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
