Info On The ‘Wonder Woman’ Video Game Has Leaked

After being revealed during The Game Awards 2021, information on Monolith Production’s Wonder Woman game has been scarce. Or just flat out non-existent as the company has been completely silent about the title and there hasn’t been a single trailer released since. For a time, it was believable that Warner Bros. Games was simply trying to keep it all under wraps while games like Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League were the priority. However, with both games out, it was a little concerning not seeing Wonder Woman appear during Summer Game Fest.
Recently though, a leaked survey has clued faithful Wonder Woman fans in to what the game might be about. Any chance that the survey might not be real has been squashed by the multiple copyright strikes that have happened any time someone tried to show the survey and concept art online. For that reason however, it means we can’t exactly share it here, either. We can, however, do our best to describe the game.
The main screenshot reveals Wonder Woman battling against a horde of mythical creatures while a spellcaster appearing to be Circe commands them in the background. Other screens show her battling chimeras alongside the Amazons, and multiple screens of Themyscira.
The main description, meanwhile, claims Wonder Woman as a “single-player action-adventure game”, which should finally dispel the concerns that this might be a Games-as-a-Service title, which was rumored in 2023. The survey confirms the main villain in the game is Circe, who has invaded Themyscira with tons of monsters that force Wonder Woman to return home and defend her people. Free-flow combat returns, but since its Wonder Woman, she’ll also be using her Lasso of Truth to help in battle.
Other story tidbits hint at Wonder Woman having to repair her relationship with the Amazons she left to go to Patriarch’s World, and confirm she’ll meet tons of iconic DC characters. The latter doesn’t seem to mean enemies, so perhaps some of the other classic Wonder Women will make an appearance, like Artemis, Donna Troy, or Cassandra Sandsmark?
The actual survey questions ask about what players prioritize for combat to make it feel like Wonder Woman, and asks what players think would make an accurate Wonder Woman character-wise, and a good Wonder Woman experience for a game. When asking what would be most interesting to experience, one of the responses was “smoke-filled battlefields scarred by shell holes and barbed wire,” which seems to indicate that at least at one point they considered doing a more World War II-themed game.
All of it seems to be fairly exciting news, but it does make one wonder: exactly where is this game, and why hasn’t Warner Bros. started talking about it?
According to the survey, Wonder Woman will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
