Scott Snyder And Joshua Williamson Announce The Launch Of The New ‘Absolute Universe’ At DC Comics

Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson recently announced the start of the All In DC initiative. Unlike previous reboots like the New 52 or Rebirth the All In initiative maintains current continuity while also introducing a new Absolute World. This new Absolute World will feature radical reinterpretations of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and other favorite characters from the DCU.
The All In Absolute initiative sounds similar in tone to Marvel’s recent new Ultimate Universe. I started reading comics because of jumping on points like The New 52 and Marvel Now–I hope that new readers feel welcome and excited. For those of us who’ve been reading for over a decade– please be nice to the newbies. If we don’t like this version we can always wait for the next “reboot” in five years.
DC Comics All In begins this October.
