Francis Ford Coppola’s Enigmatic ‘Megalopolis’ Premiering On Premium Video On Demand This Week

So much ink has been spilled over filmmaking legend Francis Ford Coppola’s enormous and enormously weird Megalopolis that it’s become one of the most talked-about films of the year, even after crashing at the box office.
For those of you who missed the spectacle in theater, the architectural epic arrives this week on premium Video on Demand courtesy of Lionsgate. 
It’s a very tough film to sum up, and our previous review goes into the right amount of details, but Megalopolis is Coppola’s long-gestating, largely self-financed pet project that recasts NYC as New Rome and pits visionary architect Cesar Catilina (Adam Driver) against conservative Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esposito) to determine the fate of the city — and the mayor’s daughter (Nathalie Emmanuel). But there’s so much more, for better or for worse.
The film also stars Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Talia Shire, and Chloe Fineman.
Megalopolis arrives on Premium Video on Demand on November 12th from Lionsgate. Hopefully, a Blu-ray and DVD announcement will follow suit soon.
