Trailer: Austin Butler And Zoe Kravitz Star In Darren Aronofsky’s New Film ‘Caught Stealing’

Darren Aronofsky is easily one of may favorite directors because of his work on Black Swan, Noah, and mother! Known for genre-bending and provocative films, the most surprising thing about Caught Stealing is that it doesn’t appear arthouse or pretentious. Based on the trailer, the film has the same look and feel that I would expect from a Guy Ritchie crime comedy — and you know what — I’m here for it!
Aronofsky has built up enough “street cred” amongst cinephiles that he can afford to do a film that’s more broad in appeal. Caught Stealing could be a fantastic first introduction for high school and college students to Aronofsky unique filmmaking. Along with Wes Anderson‘s The Phoenician Scheme and James Gunn‘s Superman, it’s going to be a great summer of auteur films.
