Marvel Reveals New ‘Deadpool/Batman’ Covers

Marvel Comics is continuing to build hype for their portion of the crossover of the year in Deadpool/Batman. As part of the celebration of San Diego Comic-Con, they revealed three new covers, and with that two new crossovers.
The main event from Zeb Wells and Greg Capullo is already a massive draw, but the issue is full of back-ups from some of the biggest comics stars on the planet. There’s Captain America/Wonder Woman by Chip Zdarsky and Terry Dodson and Krypto/Jeff from Kelly Thompson and Gurihiru, as well as Green Arrow/Daredevil from Kevin Smith and Adam Kubert, with special covers accompanying all of those stories. Now more covers have revealed two more back-up stories.
With new covers by Russell Dauterman, Frank Miller and Daniel Warren Johnson, the publisher has teased these stories. First up, Al Ewing and Dike Ruan will feature a team-up of Green Lantern and Rocket Raccoon, a very exciting story for the creative team alone. Then comics legend Frank Miller writes and illustrates a story featuring his Dark Knight Returns Batman with the Wolverine of Old Man Logan. And honestly, considering Johnson’s cover, it seems like a Fourth World/Fantastic Four crossover is inevitable.
“The pairing of Rocket Raccoon and Green Lantern felt very random when I was assigned it, but you can chart a line between any two characters that’ll take you through a kaleidoscope of connections between one universe and the other – and that’s what we’ve done,” shared Ewing.
