Take A Gander At The ‘Star Trek’ Tournament Of Roses Parade Float In First Look Image

2026 will be the 60th anniversary of Star Trek. Yeah, the years keeping coming. But as part of the year-long celebrations, the sci-fi series will be featured in a parade float at the Tournament of Roses Parade. The design, with a theme of “Space for Everybody,” was unveiled on Monday. Take a look:
According to the press release, the float will also celebrate “values of hope, inclusivity, exploration and unity” while also spotlighting the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, which is expected to debut early in the new year. You can just about see the 32rd century version of the academy in the far right corner, which also features San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge — Starfleet Headquarters is located on the north side of the bridge crossing — while the front of the float recreates portions of the U.S.S. Enterprise bridge from the original series. Other imagery includes Vasquez Rocks, which features in several episodes and movies across the years, the Enterprise itself as it appeared in the 1960s series, and the iconic transporter.
It will be interesting to see how this design is ultimately realized and decked out with an array of different flowers, per the Rose Parade requirements. We’ll find out, of course, when the parade occurs on January 1st, 2026. In the meantime, Star Trek can be found just about anywhere.
