‘LEGO Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight’ Charmingly Recreates Iconic ’80s ‘Batman’ Scene

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was announced last summer and had its first trailer and release date revealed during The Game Awards. Recently, TT Games dropped a cinematic fans of the caped crusader might recognize.
The video is a scene from the game recreating an iconic sequence from the 1989 film Batman. Here, The Joker takes over the Gotham City museum. He and his crew make their own artistic modifications to the various exhibits. The LEGO forms add a lightness and certain aesthetic charm to the entire scene. Also adding to the fun: the inclusion of the song “Partyman” by Prince, which debuted in the movie.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an action-adventure game that allows players to experience Bruce Wayne’s journey into becoming the popular superhero. It draws inspiration from different mediums — the films, television shows, comic books and games — and packages it with the signature LEGO humor fans have grown to love. The inclusion of DC lore will make it the ultimate Batman experience.
The title is currently available for pre-order for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). The main launch date is May 29th, 2026, but those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive 72-hour early access beginning May 26th, 2026. Another pre-order incentive is the opportunity to obtain The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch, inspired by the acclaimed comic book series. Also, if you create a Warner Bros. Game account, you can unlock the Golden Age Batsuit, based on Batman’s debut look from Detective Comics #27 (1939), at launch.
