‘Kemuri’ Reveals First Full Gameplay Trailer And A 2027 Release Date

Unseen Inc. CEO (and Gaming Waifu addict) Ikumi Nakamura gave players a deeper look into their launch title Kemuri during Sony’s State of Play presentation on Tuesday. In the game, players take control of yokai hunters and navigate a multi-cultural urban environment inspired by Pan-Asian mythologies. Considering this is a new game studio with a limited staff, the game looks astounding. This is the kind of stylized 3D animation that’s blown people away with the likes of KPop Demon Hunters and the Spider-Verse films.

The title supports online co-op for up to three players as they traverse the supernaturally-infused city. When a yokai is defeated, players can use their powers in the form of apparel. It transforms the player’s appearance, combat style, and traversal abilities. Overall, this looks like a unique game from a plucky studio and I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Kemuri is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2027. Players can wishlist the game right now for Playstation 5.
